in case any one of you were wondering, yes this is a post about the National Day Parade held in 2002. yes, I was involved in it. and yes, I had a hell of a time.
significant memories, aplenty. it brought much joy and sorrow into my life, but I will never forget it when the marching contingent appeared, with two columns of Black Berets appearing. yes. we, the SAF Armour folk, have beaten the Commandos in the Best Unit competition, thereby earning the right to wear our Black berets in the first contingent. the second contingent was reserved for the organising formation, and it was Armour as well. so. HAHA! *sorry. just some rivalry that has been inbred into me as an Armoured soldier.*
firstly, before anybody accuses me of being the least unpatriotic Singaporean ever. happy 41st birthday Singapore. I don’t want to go into detail about how I love life over here in Melbourne as compared to Singapore. but, yeah. we’ll keep it as that
short post, but not a fair and accurate reflection of what the girlfriend has done for me.
in her ill health, she actually took the liberty to drive over to my place and do me dishes, plus cook emperor’s chicken for me, seeing how I was kinda craving for it.
I really should elaborate more on it, but my eyes are mightily exhausted from the usage of the computer. think I’ll do the elaboration later in the day or something. (=
I just got back from a ski trip I took with some friends of mine via SAM/MUISS/CCSM. all I can say is that I really did have a blast of a time, even though my face didn’t exactly show for it at the end of the day.

I admit that it has been a while since I last blogged. I cannot come up with any other reason apart from sheer laziness and the apparent missing source of inspiration that I was… missing?
